This moment from The Legend of Thunder always stuck out to me.
Back when I first watched the episode, I didn’t know what Perish Song was (my only exposure to Pokemon was the anime and trading cards, I never played the games), so to hear this haunting melody come out of such an adorable Pokemon shocked me lol.
Hey Yourbuer some comic pages of Questions Multiply the Mystery comic one of Eddie's origin stories, this one doesn't really have his father physical abuse but does posses his father and mother neglect to him as well the whole lonely and desperately wanting someone regarding him well and recognizing him, at best all he wanted was someone as a friend tbh
The story also has Eddie himself saying
Highly reccomend it

Spoiler talk, because if you are intrested in Batman villains I also really recommend it.
I love this comic. It’s so unassuming yet interesting and honestly heartbreaking. I think this panel sums up Edward’s motives in this iteration.
Is it just me or does Krauser look eerily like Biff from Back To The Future? Every time he’s onscreen I keep expecting him to call Leon chicken lol.
I cannot stop thinking of Rogi and Fia, and why I "hate" the latter. She used the discrepancies between Rogier and D, and the sorcerer fell for it hook, line and sinker.
After all, we know that D spoke to him about the Cursemark at the Round Table and Rogier reported this news to Fia, betraying Darian.
I'll talk about this in a more detailed post later... I have a lot of things boiling in my mind.
This is why I can’t buy the ’D is a Golden Order fanatic’ I’ve seen expressed in a lot of ER discourse. D is a believer, but he is not a fanatic. If he was he would have killed Rogier for siding with the enemy, or at the very least cut all ties with no regrets.
But D very clearly still cares for Rogier, even if their paths have diverged, and he cannot stand to see him suffer. D still talks to Rogier, even revealing very sensitive information because he still trusts him. And finally, D considers Rogier to be a victim rather than an enemy or a betrayer - referring to him as one who has been ‘seduced’ by TWLID. Even Rogier realised this - “Or perhaps, he would even feel some pity [for me]”.
tl;dr: D is not a fanatic. Corhyn is a fanatic. D is not the Corhyn we have at home.
Side note: I don’t know how to feel about Rogier getting D killed. He knew very well how D felt about Fia, but did Rogier know how she felt about D? She was very good at keeping her cards to her chest. Did Rogier realise that she was ready and willing to murder D when given the opportunity, or was he lulled into a false sense of security like us?
It seems to me that Rogier was like many Tarnished; no longer guided by grace and desperately seeking it elsewhere, and Fia took advantage of a lost, frightened soul looking for comfort to validate her existence.
Fia is pitiful too in a way - it seems she was raised or trained to be nothing but a Deathbed Companion, to raise an exalted noble to new life, but when that purpose was stripped from her she resolved to fulfil it elsewhere no matter the cost. “It is the purpose of my being” she says.
I’m not very good with lore, this is just my feelings on the matter at the moment. Hope you don’t mind my ramblings!
Our time together was short, but I still love this man so much. He was my only friend in the game T_T
Prediction for the next chapter of Road to the Erdtree:
Aseo is over the moon that a pretty lady wants to hug him and immediately agrees - however, just as he’s going in for the hug, D grabs him and drags him away while glaring at Fia in a ‘TAKE YOUR CORRUPTING HANDS OFF HIM YOU WITCH’ kind of way as Aseo wails in protest.
